Training on “Insight of Fire Risk Assessment”

On 22, 23, 29 February, and 01, 04 March 2024, Cambodian Reinsurance Company “Cambodia Re” organized an educational training on “Insight of Fire Risk Assessment” at HIMAWARI HOTEL in Phnom Penh, which was trained by Mr. Bernard, Founder and Director of Firemax Engineering. He is an accredited fire risk assessor by the Institute of Fire Engineering (IFE). There are 19 professional staff members from the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC), General Insurance Companies, and Cambodia Re.

The purpose of this training is tailored for insurance personnel involved in the inspection, survey, mitigation, and reporting of works related to fire safety and fire insurance. The course provides in-depth knowledge of fire risk and risk mitigation.

The course focuses on training personnel on how to assess a premise and to inspect if it is sufficiently protected by the appropriate and well-functioning fire protection systems and mitigation processes. This will help insurance companies make the correct decisions on behalf of their clients to reduce property and financial damages for both parties.

All participants got the examination on the last day and will also get the certificate once they pass.
